You waited with bated breath for seven days.....
Visit any preschool classroom closet and you will find boxes of recycled materials! Today, I'd like to share the multi-tasking abilities of two containers.
1. The Egg Carton
This spring, I numbered the egg slots 1-12. Using colorful plastic eggs, I numbered them on the outside with a Sharpie. Younger children will enjoy simply matching the eggs to their correct slots. For my 5-yr-old class, I filled each egg with the appropriate number of small items. Lessons reinforced include number recognition, number order, left-to-right progression, grouping, counting!
2. The Lunchable
Are you discouraged by wasted paint? The Lunchable container is the perfect paint palette! Even better, cover it with Glad Press 'n Seal and the paint will be usable for weeks!! These plastic holders are wonderfully stackable. No one throws them away around here :-)
Bonus!! If you've been considering a pricey purchase for drawer organizers (to hold paperclips, rubber bands, jewelry, make-up), the Lunchable container can do the job.
I'm off to link to Shannon!
